Getting guests from the ceremony to the reception is one of the details that can make or break a wedding day. With a minibus or coach and a professional driver, everyone arrives together and on time, nobody has to worry about parking or who is driving, and the day keeps moving to schedule.
How wedding guest transport works
Most couples book one of three things:
- Guest shuttles between a hotel, the ceremony and the reception venue — for example from a city-centre hotel to a church, then on to a country-house venue in the Lothians.
- Late-night return runs at the end of the evening, so guests staying in Edinburgh or nearby towns get back safely.
- Hourly or daily hire, where the driver stays with you and runs several trips through the day.
Add each stop when you book and you will see the price for the whole route before you pay. If you need several vehicles, or a timetable with lots of runs, send us the plan and our team will email you a confirmed price.
Choosing the right vehicle
For the bridal party or close family, an executive car or MPV or an 8-seat minibus works well. For guests, 16 and 24-seat minibuses suit smaller weddings, and our coaches carry up to 72 people in one trip. Every passenger, including children, needs their own seat — so count everyone when you book.
Popular wedding venues we travel to
We collect from hotels, churches and registry offices across Edinburgh and the Lothians and take guests to venues anywhere in central Scotland — from city-centre hotels and historic venues on the Royal Mile to country houses in East Lothian, Midlothian and West Lothian, and venues further afield in Fife, Stirlingshire and the Borders.
Planning tips
- Allow a little extra time between the ceremony and reception for photographs.
- Share the exact venue addresses and any access notes (gates, long driveways, parking areas) in the booking notes.
- If guests will drink at the reception, let us know when you book — alcohol must be agreed before travel, as set out in our terms.
- Book early for summer Saturdays, which are the busiest days of the wedding season.
