Kirkliston, a few minutes from the airport
Kirkliston is a village just north of Edinburgh Airport. The runway is just across the fields, and on a good run you can be at departures in under ten minutes. That makes it one of the easiest places in the area to arrange an airport transfer from.

The M9 runs along the edge of the village, so Linlithgow, Falkirk and Stirling are all straightforward. South Queensferry and the Forth bridges are about ten minutes north. The city centre is around 25 minutes away, depending on traffic on the A8.
